TRIDENT Language School, the 'Semmon Gakko(officially recognized college by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology)' division of Kawaijuku, launched it's Japanese language education program in 1986. Ever since, we have been dedicated to Japanese language education, with a team of committed and experienced instructors.
We offer you innovative Japanese language programs focused on conversation, preparation for JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) and Business Japanese. We are glad to help you enrich your life in Japan!

Conversation Courses

These courses consist of classes for learners of different levels (basic - advanced), and the classes are focused on enhancing your oral communication skills in different daily situations.

Class	Course descriptions
Basic	Basic level for students with little or no experience in studying Japanese (including those who can only deal with simple greetings and introduction). Practice with basic Japanese sentence patterns which enables you to obtain information needed in daily life and to deal with simple conversations.
Pre-lnt I	Practice with basic Japanese sentence patterns integrated with use of common expressions.
Pre-lnt II	Extensive practice in developing Japanese proficiency in conversational skills on general and personal topics.
Pre-lnt III	Review of basic Japanese sentence patterns with use of enriched vocabulary and expressions.
Intermediate	Refining grammatical competence through study of intermediate expressions. You will be able to converse based on situations, according to your conversation partner.
Advanced	Practice in oral discussions on various topics. Obtaining a wide range of advanced level vocabulary by reading.

JLPT Preparation for N1&N2

These courses provide effective preparation and test skills for the JLPT, which takes place in July 1 & December 2.

Business Japanese course

This course is to equip people working in Japanese companies with the necessary skills for working purposes. You will also study effective test skills for the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test.

Private Course

Private Lesson on a one-to-one basis. Convenient for busy people who cannot find time to join our regular courses or those who will stay short term. Enrollment is not tied to a fixed date.
We can negotiate with you on an individual basis to arrange the lessons.

Semi-Private Course

For groups of two or more. Enrollment is not tied to a fixed date.
We can negotiate with you on an individual basis to arrange the lessons.

1. All new students are required to take the Japanese Placement Test prior to admission. An appointment should be made.
2. Apply in person a week prior to the start of the course. Fees are payable in full upon registration. We accept credit cards(Visa or MasterCard)and bank transfers for tuition and admission fees. Textbooks are not included in tuition fees and can be paid by cash or bank transfers only.
3. A one time admission fee(10,000yen) is required.
   
   1. Admission fee waivers are available to students:
      
      1. who are continuing from a previous Trident course.
      2. who are current students or alumni of Trident college.
      3. who are a close relative (‘first or second degree’)of someone currently enrolled in a Trident course.
   2. Admission fee is non-refundable. If you withdraw from the course after the course begins, a refund will be paid on a pro-rate basis less the administration fee.
